Thaddeus T. and Barnaby
"Barnaby was a wise and gentle old Bullfrog. He had become close friends with Thaddeus T. just after the little guy's papa up and disappeared some time ago near the far end of the pond."
A Mouse Named Cody
"All of a sudden, much to Dustin’s surprise, a skinny, scrawny little mouse came flying out from underneath the chair, stumbling around, and barley able to stand on his own four feet."

Welcome to my web site!

Please feel free to browse these pages, and read about my most recently released children’s book. In addition, you will have the opportunity to see a preview of my forthcoming project, and its approximate release date.

Hopefully this greeting will give you a little insight, as to why I do what I do. As a newly published author I receive lots of questions regarding my writing. Probably the most common, and certainly the most important one is, why do I write? That’s an easy one for me; the answer is, because I love it! Many years ago, I was lucky enough to discover that writing poetry and stories for children was one of the greatest joys in the world. It wasn’t just the thrill of putting ones innermost thoughts on a piece of paper, but that rush you receive when a child, or perhaps their parent, reads your work and you see them smile, or laugh. Now that is true satisfaction!

Unfortunately, it took me a little longer than some to decide I wanted writing to be more than just a hobby. I remember several years ago my father telling me what an interesting life he had had. He said, “I’ve seen and done so much in my life, I could write a book!” But he never did. So perhaps deep down inside, being published is my way of fulfilling my father’s prophecy. Regardless; I’m here, I’m writing, and I want to share my work with you!

Respectfully,
Kent D. Walsh
